My story

I was diagnosed with stage 3B Lobular Carcinoma with lymph node involvement on April 1, 2008. A swollen lymph node under my arm was my only symptom. Nothing was shown on my mamogram the day I was diagnosed. An ultrasound showed a 8cm long mass. I endured grueling rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and surgeries. By the love of my family and friends and my faith in God, I made it through with a new appreciation of life!

Only a Pull

"You'll only feel a little pull". She was right, nothing like having the drains out. However, after the external stitches were removed, I mentioned that it has been really hurting in one area. My surgeon agreed that no doubt it hurt there. Then, she nonchalantly mentioned that that is the precise area where '50 or so stitches' are attached! Now, I've got the weebie jeebies thinking of what is going on in there when it pulls as I move.
